VAN ALSTYNE — The Panthers railroaded the Paris Wildcats to a final score of 75-52 in non-conference play on Saturday, Nov. 18 as basketball tipped off for boys in Van Alstyne.
The team was led by the scoring of Noah Boling and Samuel Tormos, with both Panthers players scoring 23 points a piece, as well as each sinking three baskets from beyond the arch.
The Wildcats held down the Panthers offensive play in the first quarter only getting to a score of 18. By the third quarter, the Panthers were dominant with a score of 53 while holding the Wildcats to only 36 points. Van Alstyne would lead throughout the game, cruising to a smooth first victory of the season.
Next up for Van Alstyne is a face off with the Sherman Bearcats on Tuesday, Nov. 21 in Van Alstyne.’
