The City of Edinburg’s Library & Cultural Arts Department is proud to host the opening reception of artist Nancy Watson is free and open to the public on Tuesday, May 14th and will be on display until May the Sekula Memorial Library located at 1906 S. Closner Blvd.

Nancy Watson is proud of her Italian heritage, thus signing each one of her pieces of art “Fiorini”. Her mother was Italian and to honor her, she has taken her maiden name as her signature. Her love of color and various cultures, which is ever present in her artwork, came from her mother and traveling the world. Nancy’s passion is centered on the Mexican people and culture. In her 70s, Nancy is taking on a different role, after having taught art for 30 years, she believes her role is to inspire, stimulate, and challenge the public. The exhibit is another addition to the rich cultural arts programming being done by the City’s Library & Cultural Arts Department.
