The Rio Grande Valley FC Toros kicked off a successful sophomore season this Spring drawing a new legion of fans to their official home at H-E-B Park in Edinburg.
This state-of-the-art multipurpose facility created a hub for a very passionate soccer community already thriving in the Rio Grande Valley and our neighbors along the South Texas border.
The addition of the RGVFC Toros, a United States Soccer League Division II hybrid of the Houston Dynamo, meant putting the Valley on the map for ‘standout venues in the league.’
Recently, USL.com recognized H-E-B Park as one of the four newest stadiums across the country contributing to the leagues tremendous growth.
The USL, an influential professional league one tier below Major League Soccer (MLS), features 24 teams across the United States and Canada.
In a very short time, H-E-B Park has quickly cemented itself an asset to the community and a place where locals can experience high-profile match-ups in a soccer-specific stadium.
Fans will benefit from the opportunity to experience high-level soccer in their own backyard and an incredible stadium to call their own.
Notable amenities include:
9,700-seat stadium, which features canopies on each side of the stadium and angled seating with an up close and personal view of the pitch.
Full-service restaurant, executive lounges, a sports bar and 33 suites
Park grounds include practice fields for 7v7 and 5v5 soccer
An amphitheater with a 2000–visitor capacity
As noted, H-E-B Park came to fruition thanks to the vision and generosity of RGVFC owner Alonzo Cantue. The RGVFC Toros are not just a team developing professional players, they are part of a loyal community of supporters that will only continue to grow.
