For four innings Tuesday night, the Alice Coyotes held the Calallen Wildcats at bay.

Calallen finally was able to get on the scoreboard in the fifth, opening the door to a seven-run rally through three innings. The Wildcats’ late push was more than enough for a 7-0 shutout victory over Alice at the Coyote Baseball Complex.

Calallen ace Hambleton Oliver was given the win. He was effective against the Coyotes. He surrendered only two hits and two walks through seven full innings. He struck out 11 Alice batters.

Alice’s Isaiah Aguilar took the loss. He was strong against Calallen for the first half of the game. He went five innings, giving up two earned runs off three hits and four walks. He struck out three.

Calallen scored two in the fifth, one in the sixth and our in the seventh.

Pete Beltran and Trey Jaramillo had hits for Alice.
