The Edinburg Scenic Wetlands and World Birding Center (EWBC) invites boys scouts to earn their Bird Study Merit Badge at the EWBC on Saturday, October 13, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

The program will include educational, hands-on activities that Boy Scouts will need in order to obtain their Bird Study Merit Badge. Scouts will learn the basics of birding, like how to use binoculars and field guides, and learn to identify birds while discovering what makes the Rio Grande Valley a world-renowned birding area. Badges are not included, but scouts will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the program.

The fee for the program is $6 per participant. Parents, guardian, and other non-participants are welcome to enjoy the EWBC grounds and must pay the EWBC admission fee. Registration and payment are required by October 11. For more information, or to register, please call us at (956) 381-9922.
