The Edinburg Scenic Wetlands and World Birding Center (EWBC) invites all toddlers to learn about nature. This spring and summer, the EWBC has once again designated special visits for families with children ages 18 months to four years old. Toddler Play Dates are held once a month from April through July.

Toddler Play Dates are a great way to introduce your tot to the outdoors and to other children. This program helps our youngest explorers discover the fun of nature while also encouraging interactive play, learning, and creativity. The play dates include hands-on play for you and your children in a safe and happy environment. Activities can include puppet shows, story-telling, puzzle time, free play, coloring, crafts, and guided walks throughout the grounds.

The program topic on Saturday, April 21, is Bees. Busy bees are what everyone needs! From flowers to honey, tots will learn how bees are our helpers.

On Saturday, May 19, the program topic is Seeds. Tots will learn how seeds grow and change into something extraordinary, just like they do.

The program topic on Saturday, June 23, is Mud. Bring little toes and a change of clothes. During this muddy fun day, it’s okay for your tot to get dirty.

On Saturday, June 21, join us for a Splash Party. Your tot will play with water on this hot summer day. Bring a swimsuit, towel, and change of clothes.

Toddler Play Dates are scheduled from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. with optional free play after the program. The fee per toddler is $2 (with one free guardian). Additional visiting family members must pay regular EWBC admission. Space is limited, so registration is required.
