Edinburg- Leadership Edinburg (LE) Class XXIX recently completed a community service session at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Edinburg Wednesday, June 17th. The session offered presentations, discussions, and questions on nine different programs of service and its importance to Edinburg and the Rio Grande Valley. This seminar helps members gain knowledge on each organization and help encourage community service action.

We would like to thank the representatives of Edinburg Parks and Rec, Rio Grande Valley Down Syndrome Association, Mujeres Unidas, VIDA, Capable Kids, Nevaeh's Kids Conquering Cancer Sister Norma Pimental and Dialogos de Esperanza Online Radio for participating in the session. We would also like to thank Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Edinburg for hosting the class session and Taco Palenque Edinburg for sponsoring the dinner.

Leadership Edinburg is designed by the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce to allow class members to interact with one another and members of the community to encourage a better Edinburg. The nine-month program is structured to help class members understand the problems and opportunities we face through strong leadership skills focusing on politics, education, and quality of life.
