Boys & Girls Clubs of Edinburg RGV is proud to announce that Angelisa Rendon has been selected by Boys & Girls Clubs of America as a recipient of the Ross Stores Foundation Scholarship in the amount of $2,500. This scholarship will help cover tuition and book expenses.  Angelisa plans to attend the University of Houston next fall.

The Ross Stores Foundation Scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship that recognizes youth for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their club, school, and communities.

For over a decade, Ross Stores and Boys & Girls Clubs have worked together to help children achieve academic success, build confidence and lead healthy lives. For the 2015-16 and 2016-17 school year, Boys & Girls Clubs of Edinburg RGV was one of 30 local Boys & Girls Club Organizations, representing approximately 100 Club houses. The Ross Stores Foundation sponsors Power Hour, an after-school homework-help program, at our Sam Risica, San Carlos and Legacy Center sites.  During Power Hour, Club members receive support in completing their homework to improve their academic performance and develop a sense of personal responsibility.

Since 2013, the Ross Stores Foundation has offered scholarships to college-bound seniors from our adopted Clubs.
