With spring here that means warmer weather, spring flowers and the annual Artrageous Art Show at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance April 28 and 29.

The fourth annual gathering of selected artists from throughout the region will feature a wide variety of paintings as well as sculpture, glass pieces, photography and mixed media.

A Friday night preview party features wine and appetizers along with a chance to visit with the artists and get a first look at their newest offerings.

Several level sponsorships include tickets to this preview. Saturday the event is free to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Some of the proceeds raised through Artrageous will go towards the renovation of the Sam Houston school in Edinburg into a cultural arts center.

“Our vision is to establish Edinburg as the cultural center of the Rio Grande Valley,” Artrageous chair Vivian Martin said.
