EDINBURG – The Edinburg Rotary honored eight students recently from the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District’s Athletics Department.

“It’s a great honor,” said Edinburg CISD Athletics Director Roy Garza.  “We transition into the city, community, school district and all of that with the same partnership, developing our young athletes to become good citizens of the city of Edinburg.”

The student athletes’ recognition is part of the Edinburg Rotary’s Student of the Month Program, which highlights several students from each high school.

“Anytime they get recognition on or off the field is a blessing for us,” Garza said.

The Edinburg Rotary recognized the following students:
