Trying On History initiative to engage community with costume collection
Historical education can be fun – especially if you’re appreciating a beer tasting, great company and interactive activities. Join in on the fun during #GivingTuesday Happy Hour on Tuesday, Nov. 29, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Grand Lobby.
During this special event, MOSTHistory invites guests to learn more about the Trying On History project and how a small donation can help bring history to life with costumes. All contributions received that night will go toward expanding the museum’s try-on and reproduction clothing collection. While mingling with friends, guests can enjoy the Rogue Dead Guy ale among other brews from Rogue Brewery, flavorsome appetizers and a mixer-party game which includes a game card to be completed and submitted for a drawing to win two free tickets to the next happy hour event. This thrilling event will also include a fashion show highlighting the museum’s costume collection and further explaining how every dollar will be used to expand the collection.
Admission is $10 for individuals and $5 for FRIENDS of MOSTHistory who are 21 and older. All guests must make reservations prior to the event as the number of reservations is limited. You can make reservations over the phone with a major credit card at 956-383-6911 during regular business hours or online at mosthistory.org.
